Tasks

  • Explore various kinds of data sets and derive actionable insights
  • Implement machine learning algorithms, interpret, and visualize their results and present your findings
  • Deploy machine learning code as part of an agile development team
  • Integrate your code into running systems
  • Explain the capabilities and benefits of Data Science to heterogeneous audiences
  • Contribute your ideas and expertise to a data driven innovation process
  • Exchange your knowledge with other data scientists and developers on the team and possibly take responsibilities outside pure data science when needed

 

Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science, natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering or comparable working experience in any of these fields
  • Intermediate knowledge of a programming language, e.g. Python
  • Familiarity with popular machine learning libraries, e.g. scikit-learn
  • Experience with data processing tools, e.g. Pandas (Python), SQL and visualization, e.g. matplotlib, plotly, holoviews
  • A solid foundation in mathematics and statistics, including knowledge about machine learning algorithms
  • Familiarity with software development processes, e.g. code review, version control, and testing
  • A willingness to be involved in the development and operation of software beyond pure Data Science
  • English required, German beneficial
